How to write about science for non-scientists? Science communication in practice

How to write simply and interestingly about complex scientific topics and what can be done to make the text both substantive and clear to the non-expert reader?

Scientists from the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences discussed this during a training session on science communication held on 7 May.

The training focused on clear language, the curse of knowledge bias and the inverted pyramid (how information should be prioritised and structured in pros?) principle. The session was led by Agnieszka Kliks-Pudlik, a journalist and our research promotion specialist.
