We have wrapped up another series of inspiring meetings as part of the Rising Managers Academy program. This time, participants had the opportunity to explore the secrets of self-leadership and develop their leadership potential. The workshops were led by Tomasz Cichocki, an experienced trainer, consultant, and coach specializing in managerial competence development.
Leadership starts with Yourself
„If we are to start somewhere, we must start with ourselves. And if I want to achieve something in my field, I first need to know what I want to do, and then ask myself how to do it,” said Tomasz Cichocki after the workshops.
Leadership development begins with self-awareness—understanding one’s motivations, values, and priorities. This was the starting point for the program participants, who analyzed what drives them and what decision-making approach would help them achieve their goals more effectively.
Effective tools in a leader’s work
The workshop participants focused on the practical aspects of leadership. They explored motivational models and effective ways to set priorities. They analyzed decision-making mechanisms and their impact on work efficiency. By sharing experiences, they discovered which approaches work best for their individual cases.
As the trainer emphasized, the participants demonstrated great openness and self-reflection, allowing for an in-depth analysis not only of their personal leadership competencies but also of their team management skills in the context of their academic careers.
