PhD student
Maciej Rybiński graduated in animal molecular biotechnology from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. His master’s thesis dealt with the analysis of bacterial communities from Antarctica. Exploiting bioinformatics tools such as the Qiime2 platform, he performed taxonomic analysis based on the 16S RNA gene. His main research interest is working on bioinformatics data obtained from sequencing and their clear visualization. This interest evolved into participation in the XXVI International Conference of Student Scientific Circles where, as a member of the University of Warmia and Mazury microbiology research circle, he presented the results of an analysis of the taxonomic composition of bacteria inhabiting an extremely acidic post-mining water reservoir, winning 3. place in the poster section.
In the WELCOME2 group, his goal will be Large-scale analysis of epigenetic data obtained during experiments and their visualization.
