PhD student
Mariusz Jankowski is a graduate of animal molecular biotechnology at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. His scientific interests lies in bioinformatic analysis of sequencing data. For his master’s thesis, he worked on data from zander samples in which he identified unknown long non-coding RNAs in the zander transcriptome and their interactions with protein-coding genes.
Following his graduation Mariusz worked in OncoCDx where he was responsible for the development of a pipeline to process nanopore sequencing data from lung cancer samples in order to find mutations that determine people susceptibility to biomarker directed therapies.
In the WELCOME2 group Mariusz will be responsible for analysis and integration of RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIPmentation and DNA methylation data from human PBMCs obtained from vitamin D intervention studies.
