PhD student
Tanya Tripathi obtained her Bachelor’s degree in botany from the University of Delhi. She then proceeded to pursue her Master’s degree in computational and integrative sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, India. Her main research interests are immunology and molecular medicine.
Her Master’s thesis concerned molecular dynamics simulation of protamine – insulin complex, whose pharmaceutical formulation is used in the treatment of diabetes. She further carried out a project on exploring the stability of mutant gene frequencies in large mating populations suing Holling type II response function.
She successfully passed national examinations such as GATE in biotechnology and life sciences, IIT jam and GAT-B. In the WELCOME2 group, Tanya will focus on the evaluation of RNA sequencing data from human PBMCs collected from the intervention study of vitamin D.
