Prof. Carsten Carlberg gave a lecture at the SciDataCon-IDW Seoul 2022 conference within the session “Using Big Data in Improving Human Health through Food Science and Technology”. It was another opportunity to promote his research on nutrigenomics and the ERA Chair WELCOME2 project implemented in the Institute.
In the latest research of Prof. Carsten Carlberg and his Nutrigenomics Team we learn about potential molecular mechanisms linking vitamin D levels to the expression of genes involved in aging processes. A special attention was given to individual genetic variations affecting vitamin D metabolism and the potential for personalized supplementation based on genetic profiles.
