Open seminar with Karl-Heinz Herzig | Metabolic syndrome and vitamin D – mechanisms, benefits and limitations

The second meeting in the series of open international seminars, part of the Welcoming ERA Chair to Centre of Excellence in Nutrigenomics to optimise health and well-being project, hosted Professor Karl-Heinz Herzig, a specialist in internal medicine, gastroenterology and physiology and lecturer at the Medical School of Oulu University in Finland.

Open seminar with Prof. Dieter Steinhilber from Goethe University Frankfurt

Prof. Dieter Steinhilber delivered a lecture titled “Inflammation and lipid mediators: Old and new therapeutic strategies”…

What is the role of vitamin D in healthy ageing?

In the latest research of Prof. Carsten Carlberg and his Nutrigenomics Team we learn about potential molecular mechanisms linking vitamin D levels to the expression of genes involved in aging processes. A special attention was given to individual genetic variations affecting vitamin D metabolism and the potential for personalized supplementation based on genetic profiles.

PROF. STINE MARIE ULVEN | USE OF DIETARY INTERVENTION STUDIES TO UNDERSTAND THE IMPACT OF DIETARY FAT ON HUMAN HEALTH

4th international open seminar with Prof. Stine Marie Ulven, head of Nutrition Department at the Medical Faculty of the University of Oslo and coordinator of MSCA NUTRIOME network.
