Ten mid-career researchers from the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences are attending an intensive 3-day workshop, which is part of the Rising Managers Academy (RMA). During the workshop, Joanna Kaniewska, senior HR, Talent & Capacity Development Manager, helps IAR&FR scientists define their career goals, to begin with by identifying and naming competences they use every day but are not fully aware of, e.g. analytical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, team management, data management, etc. Researchers expect to broaden their managerial skills, review potential activities that are blocking their development, thereby targeting the scope of activities, and get to know themselves better in order to work more effectively with their teams. The goal of the RMA is to provide mid-career researchers with practical skilled leadership potential to apply, run and coordinate research projects.
The first edition of the Rising Managers Academy 2023 has been launched
