Researchers from the Nutrigenomics team at the Institute InLife participated in the international NuGOweek 2025 conference, held in Dublin under the theme: “Molecular Understandings to Promote Healthy and Sustainable Diets.”
NuGOweek is an annual event organized by The European Nutrigenomics Organisation (NuGO) – a research network that brings together institutions focused on nutrigenomics, personalized nutrition, systems biology, and public health.
The main goal of the conference is to foster scientific collaboration and facilitate the exchange of the latest research findings and experiences in the field of molecular nutrition.
This year’s edition was hosted by University College Dublin (UCD) in collaboration with NuGO organisation. The program featured presentations from experts across Europe, covering a wide range of topics, including nutrigenomics, dietetics, epidemiology, and innovations in the food sector.
The #Nutrigenomics team from InLife presented research conducted as part of the Welcome2 Era Chair Nutrigenomics project. Highlights included:
- Ranjini Ghosh Dastidar’s talk titled “Unraveling the Power of Vitamin D Mechanistically: How Long-Term Supplementation Shapes Immune Health.”
This presentation was awarded the Best Oral Presentation Award, selected from dozens of submissions. Congratulations to Ranjini on this outstanding achievement!
- Mariusz Jankowski’s presentation: “Beyond Inflammation: Vitamin D and LPS Co-Stimulation Uncovers Novel Gene Networks in Human Monocytes”.
- A poster session by Priman Fau, focused on the impact of vitamin D on epigenetic memory.
Participation in the event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase research, receive insightful feedback, establish new scientific collaborations, and exchange knowledge with the international research community.
The event was organized by University College Dublin (UCD) under the leadership of Prof. Lorraine Brennan.
We are excited to announce that NuGOweek 2026 will be held in Olsztyn, with the InLife Institute as the host of next year’s edition.
